Member-Only Sunset Bat Hike

In addition to sight, many species of bats have ultrasonic sonar capabilities (echolocation), which they use to navigate and catch insects in total darkness. If that piqued your interest, sign up for our Member-Only Sunset Bat Hike, where you’ll enjoy making your way through Rice Canyon and even get to try your hand at detecting and identifying bats with an echometer.
This hike will take place at Rice Canyon Demonstration Garden, 1242 Cima Del Rey, Chula Vista, CA 91910. It is an easy level, mostly flat hike. Wheelchair/stroller accessible. All children must be accompanied by an adult 18+. All event details are subject to change.
