Bug Hike at Sweetwater Park (E Street)

Thank you for your interest in joining us for our Trail to Bay Challenge hike at the Sweetwater Park (845 E St, Chula Vista, CA 91910). The Sweetwater Park, located in Chula Vista, is a bay-side trail that showcases the unique saltmarsh habitat, with native plants and animals. 

Meeting Location: We will be meeting at the Sweetwater Park (845 E St, Chula Vista, CA 91910) off of Gunpowder Point Drive (see map below). 

Driving Directions: CA-94 E to I-805 S. Take exit 8B onto E St., then turn right onto Gunpowder Point Dr. Take the first exit in the roundabout and then turn left into the parking lot. 

Suggested Parking: There is a parking lot for Sweetwater Park, right next to the Living Coast Discovery Center guest lot.  

Restrooms and Water: There are restrooms and water stations at this location. 

Program Time: 9:00am – 11:00am 

Hike Length: About 2 miles. 

Trail Difficulty Level: This trail is listed as an easy hike. The trail consists of a wide, flat dirt path that is accessible for strollers and guests of all ages.  

Recommended Gear: Water, sunscreen/hat, bug repellent, and walking shoes with proper support.
